The word Muhammad in square kufic with the square lay out found in ancient kufic.
Note that the connection of the letter Mim to Dal was done at the bottom of Dal from behind the letter, not from under the letter. There are some new work of Muhammad which connect the two letters from under the letter Dal. this kind of connection is wrong. I have discuss about this here .
However, some people mistakenly or without any knowledge have considered the connection from under the letter Dal was from ancient kufic. For example , this kufic works (below) was thought as ancient kufic.
I havent found any work like this in ancient kufic. May be this kufic design was done by a caligrapher who do not master the square kufic rules as mentioned by Mr Mamoun Sakkal (read here)
